Students exchange application form

These instructions are ONLY valid for foreign students in mobility who plan to study at the Politecnico di Torino within the framework of an exchange programme. Please refer to the ‘Guidelines for exchange students_Spring semester a.y.2016/17 application/pdf (289.38 kB)’.

Application deadline:

7 JUNE 2016

for the academic year 2016/2017 fall semester/full academic year.

the application form will be open from April 19th, 2016.

5 DECEMBER 2016

for the academic year 2016/2017 spring semester.

the application form will be open from November 8th, 2016.

The first time you access the online application page you will be asked to enter your E-MAIL account. The entered e-mail account must be the one given to us by the Erasmus office or International Relations Office of your Home University. DO NOT FILL IN THE FORM IF YOUR UNIVERSITY HAS NOT SENT US YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS!

The first section of the application form consists of a registration in which you are asked to provide your personal data. Once the registration is completed and within 12h, you will receive an email confirming your registration and containing a username and a password .

The username and password will enable you to re-enter the application form and complete your application by selecting the level and field of study which you are interested in.

If your application is submitted successfully, you will receive a message on your e-mail address.

The documents you need to attach to the application form are the following:

1. Course and Grade Certificate*

This document must contain a list of all courses you have taken to date at your home university and the grades you have received. Documents can be presented in English, French, Spanish or Portuguese and must be stamped and signed by officials at your home university.

2. Proposal of Learning Agreement (study plan)*

This form specifies the courses which you apply to at the Politecnico di Torino and/or the final project you would like to carry out at our Institution. Please note that your application is a preliminary Learning Agreement. The chosen courses will be confirmed/modified together with your Academic Advisor at Politecnico di Torino at your arrival. 3. Copy of passport or ID card (EU citizens)*, only the page with photo and personal page.

4. Programme confirmation*:

a. ERASMUS+ students: declaration of the "ERASMUS" status (issued by your institution)

b. BILATERAL AGREEMENT students: email or certificate issued by your institution confirming your eligibility to a mobility period at the Politecnico di Torino

c. E+/NON EU PARTNER COUNTRIES students: copy of your "scholarship letter"

5. Recommendation/motivational letter (not compulsory)

6.Certification stating your Italian or English language proficiency as indicated in the ‘language requirements’ section

Your application will be considered complete after SAVING and SUBMITTING. The Politecnico di Torino will then proceed with its evaluation.

Italian language test:

During your study period at Politecnico you can attend an Italian language course.  Politecnico offers different levels of Italian language courses starting in the 1st and 2nd semesters.

After you have filled in the application form, if you declared that you know Italian, you will be asked to take an Italian test online. According to the score obtained in the online test, Politecnico will subsequently inform you about the most suitable Italian language course for your level available on the Turin campus.

Accommodation:

By filling in the online application you can ask for support in the accommodation search. Contact the Foreign Citizens Office for further information: foreign.citizens@polito.it

 

After submission of the application form:

UE and non-UE:your application will be evaluated by the International Mobility Board. Starting from the mid of December 2016 you will be able to view the results of the selection outcomes in your personal page (“main section”) and you will be able to print your acceptance letter.

Afterwards, if you are a non-EU citizen, you will receive by e-mail the invitation letter necessary to apply for the student visa at the Italian Embassy in your country.
