ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

All the Bachelor’s degree programmes offered by Politecnico di Torino are based on a “locally programmed admission” scheme. They are capped to a limited number of student places and admit those students who obtain the best scores in the admission test, until the prearranged maximum number of student places is reached. In order to register for the admission test it is first necessary to submit an online application through Apply@polito within the deadlines yearly decided.

Candidates with a foreign diploma must meet the following requirements in order to enroll:

  •  High school diploma got after at least 12 years of schooling

or

  • High school diploma got after 11 years of schooling + having passed ALL of the exams scheduled in the first academic year at home university

or

  • High school diploma got after 10 years of schooling + having passed ALL of the exams scheduled in the first two academic years at home university

or

  • High school diploma got after 10 or 11 years of schooling + a higher degree obtained in a post-secondary professional institution in a subject relevant to the selected bachelor or having passed one or two preparatory years (foundation course) to fill the gap. Politecnico di Torino will decide about the eligibility of the foundation year(s)

or

or

 

  • For Countries where admission test to university is compulsory, it is necessary to attach a certificate attesting that the exam was passed (for ex: Concurso Vestibular, Gao Kao - minimum score 380 for Marco Polo students, Pruebas de Selectividad, Veveosi Prosvasis, ecc).
  •  Language certificate 

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE

BS offered in Italian

ITALIANO B1 or higher

BS offered in English/1st year in English

IELTS 5.0 or higher

NOTES FOR EXTRA-EU BACHELOR AND MASTER OF SCIENCE APPLICANTS RESIDING ABROAD

These students must also submit the pre-enrolment application to the Italian Embassy or Consulate in their own country of residence within 21st July 2017
Please check immediately with the Italian Embassy/Consulate the documents and schedule for the pre-enrolment procedure. 
If the admission tests are held before the pre-enrolment procedure is completed, applicants can apply for a short-term visa (Uniform Schengen Visas (USV) valid for up to 90 days) by presenting the receipt of registration to the admission tests. The embassy will verify if applicants meet the specific requirements for this type of visa: http://vistoperitalia.esteri.it/home/en

ENROLLMENT

After passing the admission test, students who are admitted to a Bachelor program will have to submit the following documents (original ones) in order to complete the enrollment:

  1. Passport or ID card
  2. Fiscal code
  3. Only for non-EU students: study visa type D or residence permit (if already living in Italy)
  4. For students under 18: declaration (artt. 5 and  46 D.P.R. 28/12/2000) n° 445 signed by a parent with a copy of his  ID card
  5. If in the home Country school lasts less than 12 years, certification with ALL the passed exams scheduled in the first/second academic years at home university (with official Italian translation) or a higher degree obtained in a post-secondary professional institution (with official Italian translation) in a subject relevant to the selected bachelor or having passed one or two preparatory years (foundation course)
  6. High school diploma
  7. Official Italian translation of High school diploma
  8. Declaration of Value (Dichiarazione di Valore) of the high school diploma
  9. For students holding a US High School Diploma, certificate stating 3 Advanced Placement (Aps)
  10. For students holding a British diploma, certificate with at least 6 subjects passed; at least 3 of these subjects must be Advanced levels
  11. For countries where admission test to university is compulsory, a certificate attesting that the exam was passed
  12. Language certificate (Italian or English)
