Double degree/Joint Degree

If you have been selected for a Double/Joint Degree programme, you can find general information in the table below. Further information can be found in the agreement signed by both your sending Institution and the Politecnico di Torino or by contacting our Incoming Mobility Office


Time to attain the degree:

18/24 month stay depending on the specific agreement and upon completion of your study plan arranged with your advisor


The preparation of the final project:

The final work (thesis) is prepared during the last semester at the Politecnico, students have to work at least 6 months to prepare their final project. Unless stated in the agreement, students CANNOT prepare their thesis at their Home University, however they can prepare it in another University or company around the world, previous approval by their two Academic Advisors (at the Politecnico and at their Home University).



every Double Degree Agreement specifies the number of ECTS credits students must obtain in order to graduate at Politecnico di Torino and to attain the Double Degree..


Final project's mark:

in the Italian university system the final project does not receive a mark. Before discussing the final project, the Incoming Mobility Office roughs out a mean on the basis of the previous university career and on the basis of the study period spent in the Politecnico. The Degree Committee will assign an overall grade based on the grade point mean achieved, the quality of the final project and on its presentation.


Language requirements

In order to graduate at the Politecnico di Torino you are required to obtain the following language certificates:

-       IELTS 5 or IELTS 5.5 and Italian language level A2 if enrolled in courses taught in English

-       IELTS 5 or IELTS 5.5 and Italian language level B1 if enrolled in courses taught in Italian
