YOU ARE BENEFICIARY OF AN ERASMUS+ NON-EU PARTNER COUNTRIES SCHOLARSHIP PAID BY POLITO

You are in Italy, you are already enrolled and you are performing your mobility activities remotely. Is your Erasmus+ scholarship confirmed?

Your scholarship is confirmed. At the end of your mobility you will need to check out from Politecnico in order to receive your certificate of attendance.

You are already enrolled and you have returned or intend to return to your home country to perform your mobility activities remotely from there. Is your Erasmus+ scholarship confirmed?

If you return to your home country and continue attending the video lessons and sit the exams from there, your scholarship is confirmed.
You must keep your travel boarding cards in proof of the mobility dates.
NEW! According to updates and decisions on April 24th 2020, even if you incurred exceptional costs related to your early return, you CANNOT apply for force majeure conditions, but you will receive the payment of the scholarship for the actual duration of the mobility period (from the arrival at Politecnico di Torino to the end of the Academic activities carried out remotely, according to your Learning Agreement), determined on the dates of the certificate of attendance.

You incurred exceptional costs because you had to interrupt your mobility. What can you do?

If you permanently interrupted your mobility, in addition to your scholarship you may apply for force majeure conditions and ask for the reimbursement of exceptional travel expenses actually incurred for the mobility, such as additional travel tickets purchased or date change fees to return earlier than planned; accommodation costs incurred after the interruption of the mobility. We will be able to approve a reimbursement only for costs that have not been already reimbursed by other subjects such as airline, train company, landlord, insurance, university or other. You must first try to recover those costs from them. You must also keep all documentation of those costs (tickets, invoices, receipts...). The amount that Politecnico di Torino can reimburse is also subject to the availability of funds. As soon as possible we will provide further instructions.

You started your mobility and interrupted it before the planned mobility end date: what happens to your scholarship?

Your scholarship is confirmed and will be recalculated on the actual duration of the mobility period, determined on the dates of the certificate of attendance. This applies also in case you interrupted the mobility before the minimum duration of 3 months. You must keep your travel boarding cards in proof of the mobility dates.

You didn't leave your home country due to the Covid-19 emergency and decided to cancel your mobility, but you incurred some travel and housing costs before cancellation: what happens to your scholarship?

Your scholarship will be cancelled but it is possible to apply for force majeure conditions and ask for the reimbursement of exceptional travel and stay expenses actually incurred for the mobility for which no other reimbursement has been paid by other subjects. Exceptional expenses could be for example travel tickets purchased and not used because of the cancellation of the mobility or accommodation costs incurred before the cancellation of the mobility.

You didn't leave your home country due to the Covid-19 emergency and intend to perform the entire mobility by distance learning activities: can you receive the scholarship?

On the basis of the information issued by the Italian National Erasmus+ Agency, you cannot receive the scholarship. The scholarship must be cancelled but you may apply for force majeure conditions and ask for the reimbursement of exceptional travel and stay expenses in case of cancellation.

You are a PhD student or your mobility is for thesis purpose only; can you maintain the scholarship if you postpone your mobility for a few months?

The scholarship can be maintained. Please check with the office the latest possible date for completing the mobility in your specific case.

You are performing your mobility in Italy and your mobility activities are temporarily suspended: what happens to your scholarship?

In case of temporary suspension of the mobility the scholarship may be recognized also for the suspension period. The suspension period will not count towards the minimum activity duration of 3 months but will count towards the maximum period of 12 months. The scholarship during the suspension period will be approved by Politecnico di Torino subject to the availability of funds.
